Jessica Chuchin

Doctoral Associate

Jessica Chuchin is a Doctoral Associate at Whole Kids Health. She is a skilled and collaborative clinician who has trained in various settings, including St. Michael’s Hospital, the Hospital for Sick Children, and in private practice.

Experience

Jessica is a warm and empathic clinician who provides evidence-based psychological assessments and treatments for children, teens, and parents. She has worked with children and youth presenting with a wide range of presentations, like stress, anxiety, low mood, depression, emotion regulation, learning difficulties, attention issues, and behavioral concerns. 

Jessica has also received additional learning and training in the area of Health Psychology and has experience working with children and teens with medical presentations and needs, including metabolic and genetic disorders, epilepsy, and coping with needle fears.

Clinical Approach

Jessica takes an evidence-based and integrative approach to care that is based on each individual’s strengths, needs, and goals. Jessica is trained in various modalities, including Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT) , as well as behavioural and attachment-based approaches. At the heart of her care, Jessica aims to create a warm and safe environment in which clients feel heard and supported.

Background & Training

Jessica completed her Master’s degree at Toronto Metropolitan University, where she is currently completing her Doctoral studies in Clinical Psychology. She has received clinical training at St. Michael’s Hospital, the Hospital for Sick Children, and in private practice.
